Thanks for reading! I’m writing to you from the West Highlands in Scotland, after spending the last few weeks in Italy.

I owe the phrase “heart map” to my brother in-law Stuart, who used it last week in Rome. It stuck with us and we were quick to adopt the practice - following our heart maps for city wanders and stumbling upon lovely dinner spots and things we wouldn’t have found otherwise.

I’d love to hear some of your travel stories following your heart maps - any happy accidents or hidden gems that you found through intuition and chance.
